  • Began his industry career in 1991 at WheatFirst Securities, a Wells Fargo Advisors predecessor firm, where he initially served as an assistant to James C. Wheat, Jr., subsequently emerging as Managing Partner.
  • Ranked by Barron's from 2014-2021 as one of "America's Top 1,200 Financial Advisors"1
  • Named one of the 2016 Financial Times 400 Top Advisors2
  • Holds the Plansponsor Retirement Professional (PRP) designation, honored to only 300 advisors nationwide.
  • Earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.
  • Sits on the board of trustees at The Collegiate School and is an active member of St. James’s Episcopal Church.
  • Lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife, Ann, and their three children, Helen, Brude and Hill.

  • Completed educational courses for the Cash Balance Consultant from Kravitz, Inc. in 2010.
  • Previously worked for Lehman Brothers in the Investment Management Division.
  • Earned his Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary, and a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from Hampden-Sydney College.
  • Involved with several local organizations, including sitting on the Richmond Leadership Team for Hampden-Sydney College.
  • Serves on the Leadership Advisory Board for the First Tee of Richmond and Chesterfield.
  • Lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife, Alicia, and two children, Henry and Georgia.
